A multi-entity system
Misys Trade Portal provides a true multi-entity architecture on both customers' and banks' sides. The system can be easily configured to handle large international corporates or major bank groups as well as smaller entities with fewer branches or individual operations.

Open account business
Misys Trade Portal includes open account modules that fully complement the traditional trade instruments already supported. The solution provides full automation of purchase orders and invoices handling for buyers and sellers in the context of open account-based transactions, eliminating re-keying and thus improving discrepancy rates, while allowing banks to offer advanced value-add financial supply chain services.
Misys Trade Portal was also the first trade services solution to win the SWIFTReady Trade Services Utility (TSU) label when the service came into existence in 2007 and was then accredited again in 2008 and 2009.

In-house or hosted
In addition to the model where the solution is deployed in the bank’s infrastructure, Misys Trade Portal is also available as a white-labelled hosted solution, where it is maintained by Misys in an enterprise-class data centre. Banks accessing the hosted solution are provided with the same robust functionality and features as the installed version, but without the operating costs associated with it.

Misys Trade Portal for Multi-Bank
With many corporates operating with multiple banking relationships insisting on a single sign on and a single view of all their trade transactions, Misys Trade Portal is also available as a complete Multi-Bank solution which benefits both those companies that need consolidated access to multiple banks; and banks that require financial supply chain solutions to meet their clients’ needs.

Misys Solutions Director, Transaction Banking, Olivier Berthier discusses how Misys Trade Portal for Multi-Bank can help develop corporate-to-bank relationships in his article for the Summer 2009 edition of the BAFT newsletter.  Download his article here.

Misys Trade Portal is built on a pure Java platform following the Java version 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) specifications. It is therefore portable across many different middleware application server environments such as IBM WebSphere or BEA WebLogic application servers. It enjoys a similar portability across hardware platforms and operating systems since Java support is available on all the major Unix platforms and Intel-based servers running Windows or Linux.

By utilising the Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) interface, Misys Trade Portal can also support various relational database management systems for its data-store.
